Taxi drivers often shove the weary traveler into their cabs, and in their weary despair, in their jet lag stupor, they accept outrageously expensive fares, in their rush out of the sun and into a cold shower. This was a lesson I learned the hard way. My taxi driver took me to my agreed destination, but not before taking me almost to Hebei province and back, through alleys and alleys, in an attempt to justify the expensive fare from him. After a few weeks in the city, I realized that the taxi had traveled an incredibly complicated route, in an attempt to hide its shocking prices. As he had prepaid the ticket, he had no choice when the driver demanded that he leave his taxi, and he was immediately unceremoniously thrown to the side of Phu My Hung. The driver shook his head angrily when my friend demanded that his money be returned, but he abdicated all responsibility, threw his luggage to the side of the road and sped off with his considerable profit. Dishonest taxi drivers often wait at airports, agreeing with the traveler that their taxis are metered, but once in the taxi they demand their fare. When exhausted from long-haul flights, the last thing the busy traveler or business executive wants is to discuss the odds of a hot and humid taxi ride. Pre-booking airport transfers was the best decision I made. I implore you, when traveling to exotic climates, to book your airport transfers in advance; They will save you a great deal of hassle and time, making your trip as stress-free as possible. Pre-booked taxis may seem more expensive, but trust me, from the experiences I’ve had, they are ridiculously cheap.
